We have yet to meet a Rock Band. we don't like. Well, alright, the Wii version. of the game wasn't exactly our favorite, but every. other. entry. into the series has a solid place in our hearts. Now, Rock Band. has come to the iPhone, something which could have been a terrible, terrible thing if the port was done improperly. Thankfully, what we've been given is a mobile game that needs a little work, but is still a hell of a lot of fun to play. At first glance, the game looks like a faithful port of the console version. The crazy art style is still there, the switching camera views make regular appearances, and the scrolling notes look like they were taken straight from the original game. However, what players might really miss is that there's no customizable avatar, something that's always been a joy to build in the previous games. Overall, though, it's reassuring to see all this when you start the game up.. but visuals don't really mean much in a title that's based around music.
